CLOSURE NOTICE:

We would like to officially inform all interested parties that The Walled Garden Project (Charity Number 1108757) will be closing down as from 31st July 2021.

We are proud that we have successfully run The Walled Garden Project for 18 years. In that time we have served to change the lives of many adults and young people through education and social interaction. This would not have been possible without the support of many Charitable Trusts that have helped us financially, the hard work of dedicated Staff and Volunteers, our  devoted Trustees and many enthusiastic friends and family members. Many thanks go to you all.

Rozz Crockford

Project Manager.

Welcome

At The Walled Garden Project we offer horticulture, gardening skills, woodland conservation and rural crafts to people who need space and meaningful activities away from the more formal educational environment.

We are a registered centre for the delivery of the 'John Muir Award'. This course is achievable by all and its ethos is based around four main principles: Discovery, Exploration, Conservation and Sharing.

We work closely with schools who may require us to deliver accredited courses such as ASDAN, NPTC, AQA.

We also offer an 'On School Site' package. Most schools have a garden patch or small plot of unused land; Working with your staff and students we can turn this into a unique learning experience, covering several curriculum areas. The added bonus is you are saving on transport and extra staffing costs too.

Adults in receipt of Personal Independent Payments (PIP) or Direct Payments can access us on a daily basis. We have small groups running on a Monday and Wednesday.

Our staff*are qualified and experienced in teaching and supporting students with mild and moderate learning difficulties, special educational needs and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

*All staff are DBS checked..
