Events

Fashion Show
A fashion show organised by Jayne Archer to raise funds for the Walled Garden Project will be hosted by the Royal Victoria Hotel, Newport  on March 26th 2009. The show will feature an array of clothes from Studio 6a, The Earth Collection and Renaissance.  Tickets are available from shops featuring in the show and the Royal Victoria Hotel at a cost of £12.50 which includes a buffet.

JMA Presentation
Presentation ceremonies will take place March 2009 awarding certificates to successful Southall school students of the Discovery and Explorer Levels for The John Muir Award,

Breathing Place
The Walled Garden Project Project have applied for further funding to expand the use of its Breathing Place. If successful we will be creating a woodland amphitheatre for storytelling. and
as part of a family community open day to celebrate our breathing place. People will have the opportunity to try their hand at:

  • Hurdle Making
  • Willow Art
  • Logging with heavy horses
  • Building bird boxes and feed stations
  • Creating habitat piles
  • An educational orienteering trail
  • Storytelling

Open Day
The Walled Garden Project open day attracts people from different centres with an interest including schools, colleges, social services and LEA’s. This is an opportunity for new people with an interest to come along and chat with the staff from the project and more importantly to people who have first hand experience of what the project offers to their students/ service users etc.
