Queens Jubilee
Celebration
We are holding a "Street Party" at the Walled Garden
Project on Tuesday 29th of May to celebrate this wonderful
occasion. There will be Music, Story telling and other
entertainment. The students are planning 'Red, White and Blue'
flower displays. The children at Sheriff Hales Primary School will
be making the patriotic flags to wave on the day. Ticket
prices will be available soon. For more details please phone

New Courses
A new outreach course 'Skills in Dressmaking' will run from 17th
January 2012. 7.00pm to 9.00pm for 10 weeks at The Union Free Church
Hall, Wellington. A beginner or more advanced....tutor Judy Taylor
will guide you through the skills necessary to enable you to dress
make with confidence and panache. You will also pick up several tips
along the way. Booking essential
As part of our 'Lost Lifestyles and Skills' Project we are offering
(at a very reduced rate) 'Know your own sewing machine' learn how to
use your own sewing machine safely and confidently, chat with others
over a cup of tea and biscuits, pick up tips from your tutor Judy
Taylor and enjoy. Starts Tuesday 21st February 2012. 10am - 2.00pm
for 4 weeks. Limited spaces. Booking essential.
New Partnership with
Sheriff Hales Primary School
A new and exciting partnership has been formed following a
Volunteer day Saturday 4th February 2012, staff from The Walled
Garden Project, The School, and Trainees from RAF Cosford worked
throughout the day clearing and making good the growing and forest
school areas. As part of this partnership we shall be working
together to:
Raise funds for the benefit of both establishments.
Raise social awareness between Walled Garden students and School
pupils.
Volunteer for practical work parties.
Share resources and good practice.
Cultural Day
12th July 2011 saw Rozz and Janine attend Idsall Schools Cultural
Day, they helped pupils clear a quad area in preparation for a new
wildlife garden.
Open Day
The Walled Garden Project open day
29th June 2011 attracts people from different centres with an interest including
schools, colleges, social services and LEA’s. This is an opportunity
for new people with an interest to come along and chat with the
staff from the project and more importantly to people who have first
hand experience of what the project offers to their students/ service
users etc.
OGuest Speaking
on 22nd June 2011 Rozz was guest speaker to Tibberton Gardening
Club. A PowerPoint slide show of the Walled Garden Project was
enjoyed by the group followed by a question time.
Entrepreneurial
Breakfast
On 21st June Rozz attended The Wolves Aid Entrepreneurial
Breakfast at the Molineux, Wolverhampton to celebrate the work of
the Wolves Community Trust Charity.
